Woman Killed After Involved in Maryland Traffic Accident

A woman was killed after she was involved in an accident in Prince George’s County, Maryland, and was struck by a pickup truck, according to police.
County police said they were called to the intersection of St. Barnabas Road and Wheeler Road in Temple Hills, Maryland, early Saturday morning. They found a woman that was hit by a vehicle in the roadway, and she was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators said the woman was a passenger inside a car that was rear-ended by another car around 3 a.m. They said she and other people in the car got out of their vehicle, and the woman was struck by a passing pickup truck.
Police said the pickup truck fled the scene. The vehicles involved in the original accident remained at the scene.
The victim has not been identified.
