Moscow, Dec 5 (efe-epa).- Russia’s president on Wednesday said he would condemn any attempt to change the Venezuelan government by force.

Vladimir Putin welcomed his Venezuelan counterpart Nicolas Maduro to his residence on the outskirts of Moscow.

“Of course, we condemn any action that has a clear terrorist nature, any attempt to change the situation with the use of force,” Putin said.

He underlines his support for Maduro’s government but acknowledged the South American nation was going through difficulties.

Maduro, in turn, said his nation had been the victim of all types of aggression.

Venezuela was currently experiencing a catastrophic economic crisis that has sparked an exodus of people fleeing bad living conditions and has brought violent protests to the streets.
