‘SVU’ postpones Donald Trump-inspired episode after election

The “Law & Order: SVU” one. | 10 de noviembre de 2016

Donald Trump’s trial just got pushed back. The “Law & Order: SVU” one, that is. An upcoming episode of the NBC crime procedural based on the real estate mogul’s presidential campaign won’t air until 2017, according to People. The episode, starring Gary Cole, was originally supposed to air on Oct. 26, but had been pulled from the schedule a week earlier.A promo for the episode, titled “Unstoppable,” showed Cole as a “handsome, charming millionaire.” The “Veep” star’s campaign is crippled after it revealed how he’s treated women in the past. The comparison to the President-elect isn’t subtle, despite “SVU” reps reminding the Daily News that the show is fictional. A dozen women accused Trump of sexual assault in the week’s leading up to his election on Tuesday. A woman who accused him of raping her when she was 13 dropped her lawsuit last week in a one-page dismissal, just days after canceling a press conference in Los Angeles.
